Exhibitions in 2025. Summary in English
Sand, Beach, and Symbolism
Meet Pontus Kjerrman and Tine Hecht-Pedersen in dialogue with Carl Johan Forsberg
Experience sculptors Pontus Kjerrman and Tine Hecht-Pedersen in a spectacular exhibition in dialogue with painter Carl Johan Forsberg. They will explore the themes of sand, beach, birds, flowers, and symbolism—just as Carl Johan Forsberg did in his time. Both artists demonstrate in this exhibition how the nature of Fanø has influenced their artistic work.
Discover brand-new works created specifically for this exhibition, inspired by the wild nature, warm human atmospheres, and rustic surroundings of Fanø. The works of Pontus Kjerrman and Tine Hecht-Pedersen incorporate symbolic elements and draw inspiration from Carl Johan Forsberg, who was a frequent presence on Fanø in the first half of the 20th century. The exhibition features paintings, sculptures, and ceramic works by the artists, displayed alongside selected works by Carl Johan Forsberg from the museum’s collection.
Workshops for Children
During the exhibition period, Tine Hecht-Pedersen will host a series of workshops at the museum for children, offering them the chance to experiment with clay and other materials in the spirit of symbolism.
The workshops take place on April 13. In July, workshops will be held on the 24th, 25th, 26th, and 27th. In August, they will be held on Saturday the 23rd and Sunday the 24th. All workshops begin at 2 PM. Each session is limited to 15 participants, so be sure to register at post@fanoekunstmuseum.dk. Participation is free, but registration is required.

For this exhibition at Fanø Kunstmuseum, many private collectors and several museums have contributed works, providing insight into Exner’s artistic legacy from Fanø.
